Edmen Support and Supervision Program

Our Support and Supervision program is all about supporting you to ensure you have everything you need to succeed in your role. Under the program, Youth Workers meet 1:1 with their Support and Supervision Coordinator on a regular basis. This is a chance for you to reflect on how you can improve, develop personally and professionally, and is an opportunity to provide and receive feedback. It may also include coaching, administration, compliance, and role clarification.

What we want to achieve with you:

  • Develop a trusting relationship and celebrate your wins
  • Provide a regular space for you to reflect on your work with Edmen and identify growth areas
  • Develop your understanding and skills within your work
  • Provide a channel for you to receive constructive feedback and praise
  • Be pro-active rather than reactive
  • Ensure the highest quality of work
  • Recognise and resolve potential existing problems or issues

How will it help support you?

  • Provide an opportunity for two-way communication about your role and performance
  • Support you with any identified areas for improvement.
  • Provide a safe space for you to talk about things that may be difficult to bring up in the workplace.
  • Improve wellbeing, confidence and reduce workplace pressures such as stress, anxiety and burnout.
  • Help you feel good about what you do and the difference you make by reflecting on your achievements.
  • Help you develop insight, learn from any mistakes, and maintain and refine best practice.
  • Identify and respond to any learning and knowledge gaps that might be holding you back.
  • Keep your knowledge and skills up-to-date to ensure a safe and effective work environment.
